I started learning how to fly in a 1946 Cessna 140, and earned my pilot license back in 2019 in a Cessna 172Q. Shortly after attaining my license, I bought a 1958 Beechcraft Bonanza. As my first aircraft purchase, I knew the value of logbooks, but couldn't accurately get a picture of the aircraft's history. When was the engine last overhauled? What upcoming maintenance is due? Was the plane ever damaged? Those questions had no quick answers — so I built one.
The Gap We're Filling
There were plenty of options to digitally scan and backup logbooks, but there was still no way to efficiently search or ask questions of the logbook data. Existing options were either manual spreadsheets, expensive enterprise tools built for flight departments, or nothing at all. General aviation had been left behind.
